The Earth is a very Dark Place
Back from earth hour - the world here was very very dark. All lights went out for an hour. I wanted to photograph it, but it was just, uh, black. My kids were grumbling and mumbling. Interesting though, I couldn't find the switch to turn off the light in the kitchen, which means, I haven't turned that light off since I moved in, 2 years ago. Two of my kids sleep walk so I leave a light on for safety during the night. First time I've seen my house completely dark. Amazing experiment.

Blue Tongue On the Letterbox
I could almost get away with calling this a goanna, but it's just the common blue tongue lizard out sunning itself on my letterbox for the morning. They've been driving my dogs nuts. Welcome to Queensland where the wildlife lets you live here lol.

Why I'm Not a Dog Groomer
I had a slight accident with the pet grooming shears and now Zeak (the father of the puppies) is slightly...uh....bald..... in a couple of places.
He's not impressed and has not stopped looking at me like this. Also cut his head a bit too short too. Um, I plan to get a day job soon, I guess pet grooming won't be it.

Why I'm Sunburnt
Spent the day at Dreamworld and White Water World today for daughter's leap year birthday yesterday. This is one of the new attractions at White Water World and my son spent two hours on it. The big bucket at the top fills and spills water down the whole contraption, drenching everyone. Casualties for the day, one grazed elbow, one grazed knee and a slight concussion, so not so bad. Oh yeah, my sunburn. Have put heaps of ice tea on it.
